Making a Mic Shock Mount

In this video I make a Microphone Shock Mount for a Zoom H1 Sound recorder.
The Idea was to spend as little money as possible on it.
I used second hand aluminium that I scavenged off of a building site, off-cuts shoe sole rubber, PVC pipe (R17 per 1/2 meter new), a 1/4 bolt and rubber bands.
The final product deliver a noticeable reduction in handling noise.

Record woodworking bench vise

A friend got hold of two wooden bench vises, and gave me one! I restored it, which meant grinding lose the clutch that a previous owner welded shut, and cleaning and re-greasing it. Then I cut and installed two new wooden jaws. and it is ready to install.

Lightstand for a camping torch

No videos yet but I have been making stuff. I made these light stands out of a satellite speaker stand and aluminium plate that I bend with my new plate bender (video to follow). It houses a camping torch and can pivot down thereby becoming a portable spotlight that I intend to use in my videos. The torch can easily be removed.
